Dave Was purchased as a gift.

eher307 I did buy a new battery a H depot 357/303 that apply to lr44 however it doesn't work either.

When I do shake it a liitle bit I do have some flash, means that something is wrong in the interior.

Question: it is fixeable?

buy other one?

HELP me please, I need it

Barbara I am very pleased with the slim probe for use in the artisan breads, and for everything else I've found myself using it for. The instant read isn't quite as instant as the word indictes, but certainly pretty quick. I'm glad I am able to leave it in the oven for a little bit. And as far as expense, I paid more for this than the dial thermometer I used previously, but am so much happier with it that in that sense, I guess it was worth it. It's just quite a bit of money for the little gadget.

Joanne Even if you have the 'leave-in' larger thermometers that cook with a roast in oven, every cook needs this one in their 'tool box' too. If you're grilling smaller items on an outdoor BBQ or frying on stovetop, you can use this item to quickly test doneness of thinner cuts of meat such as steaks, burgers, chops, etc. You cannot use the larger ones as easily and quickly for that. Digital readout is the way to go if your vision impaired as I am.

James I bought one of these a year or so ago and found it really convenient. I especially liked the fact that they gave you a spare battery. Unfortunately the first one died before the first battery did! This one did not work when I got it, but after putting in the spare battery it started to work. Not exactly a hopeful sign. When it is working it is great, but the quality seems to be a bit shaky.

Gary This thermometer has worked very well with a turkey, beef and pork roasts, and steaks. The steaks came out perfectly medium according to the chart temperature. The temperature readout is not exactly "Instant" as advertised. You need to wait several seconds for the indicated temperature to level out, but it appears to be accurate.

Anonymous This digital instant read thermometer by taylor which I received works

well. But I found the one I received to be very light weight.

I think think this items price was a bit high considering the type of plastic material and workmanship quality which went into making this item.

Thank You.

Amy We're very happy with this product... it works well and gives a quick, accurate temperature. After putzing around for so long with a regular old meat thermometer, this is just wonderful. I'd happily recommend this product. I'm also impressed that it comes with an extra battery!
